International university ranking "THE Impact Ranking 2024": diverse measures for water and clean energy supply
In its annual THE Impact Ranking, the British magazine "Times Higher Education" evaluates the activities of universities based on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations. Universities are assessed according to the extent to which they contribute to the realisation of these goals through research projects, industry collaborations, study programmes or sustainable measures on campus.
In the current ranking, Leibniz University Hannover (LUH) achieved the best result in Germany in the individual ranking "SDG 6 - Clean Water and Sanitation". Internationally, it achieved an outstanding 66th place out of 857 ranked institutions. LUH also achieved a very good result in the second area in which it competed - "SDG 7 - Affordable and Clean Energy". Here it achieved a ranking of 101-200 out of a total of 987 universities assessed.
In THE Impact Ranking, it is possible to participate in the overall ranking or - like LUH - only in selected SDGs. All results of the THE Impact Ranking: www.timeshighereducation.com/impactrankings
