The students learned a lot about project planning and implementation as well as construction site monitoring during their visit to the replacement construction of the Levensau High Bridge over the Kiel Canal. The bridges and slopes have to be monitored with geodetic measurements during construction.
The visit to the dhp:i office in Hamburg focused on construction monitoring and other tasks in a surveying office.
Other stops included the Center for Applied Space Technology and Microgravity (ZARM) at the University of Bremen, the German Electron Synchrotron DESY, the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH) and the space and technology group OHB SE.
The excursion is offered once a year to deepen the connection between studies and career. Last year, students visited universities, research institutions and companies in Switzerland.
