On October 20, 2023 Dr.-Ing. Dennis Wittich from the Institute of Photogrammetry and GeoInformation, Leibniz Universität Hannover, was awarded the Victor Rizkallah-Foundation Prize for his dissertation, completed in June 2023, entitled „Deep domain adaptation for the pixel-wise classification of aerial and satellite images“. In this thesis he demonstrated a remarkable level of scientific research, both in theory and in terms of the practical results achieved.
